Upper Glenasmole, Co. DU: Fields below Cobb's Lodge, between Cot Brook & Upper Dodder : mostly beaten out of Salix, some out of Birch, & a few out of other shrubs &c.

[[underlined]] Halictus albipes [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] on Scabiosa
[[underlined]] Phaeogenes [[/underlined]] 2 [[2 male symbols]], 6 [[2 female symbols]] beaten out of Salix
Orthocentrus protuberans [[2 female symbols]] abundant on Salix & Birch.

Two sawflies [[arrow indicating insertion]] [[insertion]] these = [[underlined]] Pteronidia oligospila [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] fide [[/underlined]] R.C.L.P. ([[female symbol]] came out first!) [[/insertion]] (Nematinis!) hatched on 16th & 30th May 1932 are believed to have come from larvae beaten of [[underlined]] Salix [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] Betulus [[/underlined]] on this day : also an ichneumon which em. 6.6.1932. but it is just possible that the could have come from larvae on Hazel taken in Glenariff, AN. on 28 July 1931 all of which I believe died before spinning up.

17th Sept. 1931. 7.0pm. Took [[female symbol]] dark [[Anomalid?]] at B. Currant bush in garden at Harold's Cross.
