11th November 1931. A fine day, but no sun in aft.
Powerscourt Demesne, WI. 2.30 - 4.0 pm.
[[underlined]] Orthocentrus protuberans [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] beaten out of Conifer on avenue leading from river to house.
All other species beaten out of oak or ivy on top of right bank not far below deerpark, as usual.

15th Nov. 1931. A perfect day: very hot sun & gentle, NW wind.
North Bull, Co. DU. With E. O'Mahony.
Left cycles in middle of "dunes" & walked to "Lady Anne's Bank" at Sutton end of Bull, somewhere near which I believe Halbert took his specimen of [[underlined]] Pseu unicolor [[/underlined]] on 7th Aug. 1898. Shook roots of [[underlined]] Psamma [[/underlined]] but from these got only two small [[2 female symbols]] icks: - possibly Phygadeuon monodon *[[arrow pointing to last line of page indicating insertion]] ? [[male symbol]] of same sp. taken in motor between Carnlough & Lorne on 29.7.31 [[/insertion]] Thoms. but ??
[The only mollusca seen were [[underlined]] Agrio. agrestis [[/underlined]] abundant pale form with brown "neck"; some very large. [[underlined]] Vitrina pellucida [[/underlined]] large & common at N. end. [[underlined]] Helicella acuta [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] H. virgata [[/underlined]].]
