Barometer low & falling, very stormy (SE) but no rain: high mist robbed sun of all real heat & insects practically not to be seen. Glencullen (for 1 mile above Enniskerry) Co. WI.
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] "sunning" herself: just out.
[[underlined]] Andrena clarkella [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] on [[male symbol]] Salix on sandy cliff.
[[underlined]] A. apicata [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] with last.
[[underlined]] Andrena [[/underlined]] sp? 1 [[male symbol]] seen on coltsfoot on sand flat; like [[underlined]] A. apicata [[/underlined]] or [[underlined]] praecox [[/underlined]] but might have been anything.
[[underlined]] Lasius alienus [[/underlined]] ? abundant on sand-flat by river.
Also took [[underlined]] Clausilia laminata [[/underlined]] on right bank of river high up an old [[underlined]]  Salix caprea [[/underlined]] opposite the ruined cottage above sand flat.
Daisy took a Braconid ([[underlined]] Earinus gloriatorius ? [[/underlined]]) in woods just below sand flat.
Brought home about a dozen bored sticks from near where those containing [[underlined]] Phidia aciculatus [[/underlined]] were taken in 1931. [[vertical wavy line indicating later sidenote]] From these a [[male symbol]] em. on 4.6.32 & a [[female symbol]] on 8.6.32. [[/sidenote]]

27th March 1932. A fine day, strong SW. wind, warm, with low & falling barometer (? middle of a depression) Very few insects out; though much sun.
Ballyhenry quarry, Co. WI. 11.30 till 2.0 pm.
[[underlined]] Bombus terrestris [[/underlined]] 2 [[2 female symbols]] seen. [[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]].
[[underlined]] B. jonellus [[/underlined]] several [[2 female symbols]] at willows up glen & 1 [[female symbol]] at gorse.
[[underlined]] Andrena clarkella [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] seen in quarry & [[male symbol]] ?
Other [[underlined]] Andrenas [[/underlined]] seen flying round tall [[female symbol]] willow in quarry (the only tree in bloom at this spot: other willows up glen well out). [[underlined]] Meloƫ [[/underlined]]: several seen!
One small black ick. ([[strikethrough]] ? [[underlined]] Hemiteles [[/underlined]] [[strikethrough]] Stenomacrus sp. [[male symbol]]) taken on bramble in glen.

Two icks taken & one [[female symbol]] Bombus heard!
[[female symbol]] Cryptid [[insertion]] = [[underlined]] Habrocryptus porrectorius [[/underlined]] ? small [[female symbol]] [[/insertion]] on Vaccinium, red, with white marks on head & antennae
[[male symbol]] Plectiscid or [[strikethrough]] Tryphonid [[/strikethrough]], black & reddish, small, with [[?]].
