10th April 1932. A cold day with gale from NW & heavy snow & hail showers, but bright sunny intervals. 
Drove to Drumdangan (between Glenealy & Deputys Pass) Co. WI, then on to Deputy's Pass itself, where saw a fresh [[male]] Holly Blue. Shower almost spoiled collecting & the gale made everything shy. 
Drumdangan, where old lane crosses railway = 1. 1 to 2pm. Deputy's Pass, N. side = 2. 2.30 till 3.30. 
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] a few [[2 male symbols]] at 1 + 2. [[underlined]] B. aporum [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] at 1. 
[[underlined]] B. derhamellus [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] on Dandelion at 1.
[[underlined]] Andrena praecox [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] common at 1, sunning themselves.
[[underlined]] A. gwynana [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] at 2. 
[[underlined]] A. lapponica [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] seen & 1 very fresh [[female symbol]] taken at 2. 
[[underlined]] Dolerus liogaster [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] taken near tall [[strikethrough]] Spruce [[/strikethrough]] "Spanish Fir" at first elbow of "avenue" at 2. 
[[underlined]] Stenomacrus [[/underlined]] sp. [[male symbol]], very like [[underlined]] S. ventralis [[/underlined]], taken on [[underlined]] Vaccinium [[/underlined]] in side glen at 2. 
Peacock Butterfly at 1. Holly Blue at 2.

15th April 1932. A fine day, with keen E. wind, some clouds.
Took morning off (in lieu of Sat) & went to the The Dingle, Co. DU to look for [[underlined]] Dolerus liogaster [[/underlined]], but sunny in intervals were very short & few insects flying. 
[[underlined]] Dolerus aeneus [[/underlined]] 2 [[2 male symbols]], 2 [[2 female symbols]].
[[underlined]] Andrena gwynana [[/underlined]] 1 fresh [[female symbol]] sunning on stone. 
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] a few [[2 female symbols]]. [[underlined]] B. agrorum [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]]. [[underlined]] B. muscorum [[/underlined]]  1 [[female symbol]]

20th April 1932. A cold day, but with much sun, spoiled by heavy hail showers in afternoon. Afternoon.
Drove to Enniskerry, Co. WI, but after a few minutes collecting a very heavy hail & sleet shower, which lasted half an hour ended collecting. Did not attempt any further collecting. 
Beaten from [[underlined]] Salix [[/underlined]] below chestnut tree 
[[underlined]] Pimpla (brevicornis [[insertion]] - ?? [[/insertion]]) 1 [[female symbol]], (? hibernated).

[[One Cryptid ? ick. [[female symbol]] hatched or came out of the Enniskerry logs in Killarrey Fern case at home.
