8th May 1932. [[insertion]] Several taken on this day labelled 5.8.32 instead of 8.5.32. A.W.S. [[/insertion]] A variable day, with low & falling glass; fine along coast where an east wind kept the rain driven back against the hills. Heavy rain in Dublin & the  hills almost all day.
Deputy's Pass, Co. WI, (NE. side as usual). 12.30 till 5.0pm.
Very little sun, but no rain & sheltered. Spent all time beating laurel (in old garden) & holly & the freshly leafed hazel, birch, beech & oak in the "oak wood" & around the old garden. Very few aculeates seen!
[[underlined]] Bombus terrestris [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]], [[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]]. [[underlined]] B. agrorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]]
[[underlined]] B. hortorum [[/underlined]] 1 large worker (or ? very small queen) on primrose.
[[underlined]] Andrena albicans [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & [[female symbol]] in garden. [[underlined]] A. jacobi [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] at laurel.
Very many small Ichneumonids & Braconids taken in beating tray. [[underlined]] Stilbops vetula [[/underlined]] 3 [[2 male symbols]] ([[checkmark]] AWS. 29.9.34.)
Pimpla rufata ? [[male symbol]] off beech? P. sp. ? 3 small [[2 male symbols]] (1 at [[?]] on laurel)
P. inquisitor ?? 1 small [[female symbol]] on laurel with dark legs.
