We were fortunate to exchange with Dr. F. G. Speck some Sioux feather hair ornaments for material including masks, we needed greatly, from the Nain Eskimo of Labrador.

Other advantageous exchanges were made with Mrs. Harold D. Corbusier, Mr. H. T. Daniel, Mr. H. F. Haffenreffer, Mr. Earle Horter, Mr. Joseph Keppler, and Mr. Jorge A. Lines.

LOANS

Although quite a number of collections and specimens were offered as loans, during the year, your Director continues to refuse them unless the objects offered are of great rarity, or not represented in the Museum's collections. The following specimens were deposited this year:

Joseph Keppler
Large wooden bowl, Delaware; a sieve basket and two sets of fruit stone dice from the Seneca; a set of dice from the Teton Sioux

John L. Nelson
Silver bracelet inlaid with turquoise, Navaho
