EXCHANGES

Exchanges with Mr. John L. Nelson, reported for the past two years, were continued, we obtaining a number of looms from the Navaho, and one from the Hopi.

With Mr. Joseph Keppler we have exchanged a Haida wooden dish for a Seneca wooden bowl, and a Haida carved goat and sheep horn ladle for four Seneca masks. 

We were also able to exchange with the Nationalmuseet of Copenhagen, Denmark, five duplicate pieces of Crow and Dakota ethnology for some interesting ethnological specimens from Angmagsalik, Greenland. 

LOANS

Again this year we have been offered a number of loans, but your Director continues to refuse them unless the objects are of great rarity, or not represented in the Museum's collections. The following specimens were deposited this year:
