The Chairman also made current reports on the activities of the Museum and on the various expeditions being conducted by or under the auspices of the Institution. He also reported from time to time on the various gifts of scientific material and their donors and on purchases of Indian specimens or collections with the identity of the contributors who made the purchases possible. The Museum's publication program was also discussed and certain publications authorized. Routine matters of Museum policy were also considered and acted upon the Board.
