February, 1953

Dear Member:

This is the letter we send each year to those who are Life, 50-year, and Emeritus Members of the Association. We like to be sure you are receiving your journal regularly. If the addressograph plate requires correction, please send us your instructions---preferably, indicated on this letter.

If you wish to receive [[underline]]both[[underline]] SCIENCE [[underline]]and[[underline]] THE SCIENTIFIC MONTHLY during 1953, please send us your remittance of $3.50 and return this letter so that correct credit will be given.

We should be glad to have you use the enclosed form for names and addresses of persons who, you believe, should become members of the AAAS. Such individual nominations, by existing members, remain the largest single source of new memberships.

The 1953 Meeting and Exposition will be held in Boston, December 26-31. We hope that you can be there.

With kindest regards, I am

Sincerely yours
