the morning cloudy though not very cold. My health good & my wounds still improving commenced Raining shortly after noon & rained constantly throughout the remainder of the Day and all Night long  Two men Died in the Hospital during the afternoon & Night of Typhoid Fever

Still Raining  the morning cool & Disagreeable out of Doors  quite comfortable in Doors with fire  nothing of interest going on around the Hospital  the Damp weather operating against wounds  I cant say that I have felt so well for the past two or three Days  Stopped raining about two p.m. & cleared up
