The morning wet & chilly having rained nearly all night. Nothing of importance transpiring worthy of mention Don't feel very well this morning a large number of sick soldiers came in from the front.

Lieut Swails of the 54th Mass Regt. at last mustered & doing duty with this Regt at the front

This morning cloudy & chilly. Rained during the entire night. Damp & disagreeable in the tents. my wounds still improving. Health good. all quiet around the Hospital or tents. Officer in tent No 1 all right & as jolly as ever. Which makes it pleasant to be in good society
