Rained throughout the Night and still raining nothing of importance transpiring around the hospital tents worth speaking of. Spent the principle part of the day in Bed owing to the damp weather which occasioned my wound to pain me very much.

This morning fair and cold. Breakfast late and large detail sent in the afternoon to the respective Regiments.  The men left in good spirits all seemingly glad they were going away. My Health good wounds apparently at a stand Report arrived of the Regiment being in a fight on an Island opposite Edisto Island.
