The morning wet & disagreeable rained throughout the entire Night & continued to rain till noon when it cleared up & was clear throughout the Day. late in the afternoon the 1st Regt passed up the River in the direction of Edisto though their true destiny was unknown some supposed they were going to Watersburg S.C.

Raining hard & somewhat chilly & cold. the 54th Mass Regt reported at the Docks on it's way to some point unknown. all Quiet around the Hosptl No News from the front continued to rain till Noon when it cleared up & for the remainder of the Day it was fair though somewhat windy.
