accessions to the Museum and in order that it might be realized, the Curator returned to New Orleans in the latter part of May. The result of this trip will be seen in the large accessions that have been made to the Museum. 

During the rest of the time, he has been occupied in preparing for exhibition, monographic collections of those classes of objects in which the Museum is rich. 

Miss Latham has been occupied in preparing a catalogue of Indian Tribes to be filed in this Dept., in copying various lots of manuscript, including that of Prof. Goode's "Studies in Classification", and has also assisted in the correspondence which Prof. Baird has referred to the Curator. She likewise acts in the capacity of keeper of the card catalogue of collections.
