Vogel, Supt. of Education Oct 20th returned - with letter of M E Sherman, Act. asking the Bureau to expend $50.00 for Freedmens School at Lincolnton.- Filed. | Lincolnton N.C. Oct. 14th 1868. Submits estimate of material required to make the School House at that place comfortable, and requests that permission be granted to purchase the same. States that the freedmen will preform the labor in case the material is furnished, and that the sum of $34 50/100 will be sufficient [[strikethrough]] will [[/strikethrough]] to put the building in suitable repair. |

Oct. 19" Writes in reference to pay for his services as "Inspector of Elections," for the late elections. States that himself, and the other Inspectors for Catawba Co. forwarded
