Refers letter of D.W. Lindsley who states that he has with him a family who had 2 children in Harreysville NC in 1863 or 1864 living with a Mr. H. Hay of that place Betty Baxter is the Mothers name who left them and came to Roanoake Island that she now wants them & requests an order so she can get them whenever they can be found Jacob Williamson is their Fathers name who has lately returned to her from service in U.S.A the following are the names of the children. Aaron 13. & Sally 14 years old
requests that Jacob Williamson be furnished with any information that can be procured of the within named children.  They are supposed to be in Harrillsville.  Hertford Co. N.C.  The following named Citizens of that place are given as likely to be able to assist in the search.  Clarky Hays. J. Henry Harp (Cold) Jos Skull. Drake S. Skull & H. Hays, (white)
