Dec. [[strikethrough]] 3 [[/strikethrough]] 4, 1897.
Re-examination of all the plates of gamma Circini.
Though it was marked as a peculiar star before, the exact nature of its spectrum was not detected.

X 6401 1 [[superscript]] 4 [[/superscript]] gamma Cir.
The 2nd type spectrum between H gamma & H delta is here distinctly seen.
Lines

4215.7 { as in alpha Aurigae

Region of 4144-H delta look like alpha Aurigae. This region also looks like the same in a B5A star when superposed on a plate showing that type.

X 4795 1 [[superscript]] 4 [[/superscript]] beta Cir.
gamma Cir. also on plate. 4026 & 4009.5 seen. Also lines between H delta & H epsilon that identify as solar ones when superposed on spectrum of alpha Aurigae.

Lines of both components seen, but not so distinctly as on 6401.

X 5622 1 [[superscript]] 4 [[/superscript]] gamma Circini
Lines very hazy, probably focus.

Dec. 23. gamma Circini is found to be a known double and was observed by Prof. W.H. Lickering at Arequipa. The magnitude of the two components are 5.5 & 5.8
