X 7911 β Cent. (cont.)
The line 4649 is so strong in Ɛ Or. that it overpowers all the other lines near by, and stands prominently out. In β Centauri, this line is a little weaker, and 46[[strikethrough/6]]41 a little stronger, so that so that the pair of lines is more conspicuous than the single strong[[strikethrough]] er [[/strikethrough]] line.

46[[strikethrough]] 6 [[/strikethrough]]41 is fully 1/2 as intense as 4649.

The other lines bet. 4649 and H gamma are about as intense as in epsilon Orionis, although they are so much sharper in epsilon Or. that ^[[exact]] estimates are difficult. There are, however, no great differences.
4387 is about 2 as intense as beta Cent.
4542.7 is not distinctly seen.
4200.3 is absent in beta Cent.
Lines bet. 4200.3 and 4154 seem to be present as in [[Sigma]] Orion. These lines are so hazy that they are better seen without the magnifying glass.
