Report of the Department of Ethnology
U.S.National Museum
for
November and December, 1890

During these two months the following work has been done in this department.

The time of the Curator has been largely taken up with proof reading, correspondence and the preparation of papers for the forthcoming Annual Report, and also in gathering material for papers, to be read before the American Society of Folk-lore and the American Historical Association.

The Board of Geographic Names has occupied a portion of the Curator's time with very satisfactory results.

Since the adoption of a detailed card catalogue for this department, the time and trouble of entering specimens has been very much increased.
