Mr. Hough has been charged with registering all specimens which have been received in the department, both for the Museum and for Chicago. Has has also attended to the poisoning and card cataloguing of these specimens.

Miss Latham has spent the month in preparing for the printer, labels from the Niblack book on the Northwest Coast, as well as those from the manuscript of Dr. W. L. Abbott concerning his African collection and the collection of the Rajah of Tagore in India.
