 as well as myself, we are desirous of displaying it. It is a portrait of my great grandmother, who was Sally Carneal of Cincinnati Ohio, & afterwards, Mrs Glendy Burke of New Orleans. She was considered a very beautiful woman.

The picture is a present hanging in the state museum here. For years since my mother's death it has hung (until recently) in the art gallery at

Your name has been referred to me by a friend as being a picture dealer and I am writing to ask if you would be interested in a painting by Sully. I have a large one which is a part of my mother's estate & as it belongs to my sisters
