NY.1193/P. 7686 | A very pretty lady's desk of the Lois XVI epoc in mahogany with marquetry of coloured woods, open work and threads. Decoration around with four bas-reliefs in chased and and gilt bronze representing children. The square feet forming pedestals are decorated on the angles with bronze wreaths and acanthus leaves. The top in marquetry with a pierced copper gallery around. Under the table number of a sale which appears to be the one of the great sales of 1793 ordered by the "Convention" and including all furniture from the royal palaces.
