Dear Madam,-
   We beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter addressed to us by your secretary, and to thank you very much for advising us that you have remitted to Messrs. Jacques Seligmann & Fils, Paris, the amount of the purchase of the Gothic tapestry.
   As we do not know if they will send you a receipt direct, we are waiting to hear from them. In any case, you will receive a receipt in due course.
   With regard to the insurance of the tapestry, we have at present confirmation by our brokers that the insurance has been covered for the amount of $125.000, for the period of April 20th to July 20th of this year. We had naturally to give an approximate figure of the value of the tapestry, as we cannot insure it here in francs. If this value so insured or the time of the duration of the insurance should not be such as you would like to have them, kindly let us know, as we can easily have the certificate changed according to your directions. We are writing to our brokers to have the insurance certificate made out in your name, and as soon as we receive it, we will send it to you.
