Chicago, Ill.

Dear Miss Buckingham,-

It is my intention to go to Chicago in the first days of December. I am sailing back for Europe on the 14th of December and would very much like to a trip to the middle west before leaving the United States

I hope to have the pleasure to meet you in Chicago as I am very anxious to make the acquaintance of the art patron who has bought a Gothic door from our firm, and whom I have not yet had the pleasure to meet.

Perhaps will you be kind enough to let me know whether you will be in Chicago between the let and the of 10th of December.
Pray believe me,

Yours very sincerely,
