Mrs. Francis Carolan
270 Park Avenue,
New York

Dear Madam,-

It has been our privilege to count you among our patrons for a number of years, and my father, Mr. Jacques Seligmann, has repeatedly spoken to me about the remarkable taste you displayed in the selection of your works of art.

On the occasion of a recent visit of Mr. Mermet, in connection with the apartment available on 52nd street, your name has once more been mentioned to me, and I am quite anxious to make your acquaintance.

May I take the liberty to call you up in order to ascertain whether you could receive me on Sunday morning, or any afternoon next week, as it would afford me the greatest pleasure to present you my homages and view your beautiful home.

Pray believe me,

Yours sincerely,

(Germain Seligmann)
