NY1510/P8504  Stucco Relief "Virgin and Child", school of Rossellino. Rectangular tablet modeled in low relief of the Virgin, her head covered with a thin veil. Seated on her lap is the Child Christ. In the background are decorations of festooned vases. The plinth shows the inscription "Ave Maria".

Comes from Italy and is supposed to come from the famous collection Nicolas Stolypine, of the Voronzoff family, which lived in Italy for many years and sold part of their works of art in 1900.
