May 29,1922.

TO THE MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS OF THE FIFTH AVENUE ASSOCIATION, INC.:
[[underlined]] SUBJECT: Request to Display Flags [[circled]] June 2nd [[/circled]] and 3rd. [[/underlined]]

On Friday, June 2nd, the famous 27th Division will hold its second biennial reunion at the 7th Regiment Armory, and from present indications we are advised that there will be upwards of 10,000 veterans of this fighting Division in New York over the week-end.

General John J. Pershing and Colonel J. Mayhew Wainwright, the Assistant Secretary of War, will be among the guests on this occasion.

The members of the 27th Division Association, remembering the wonderful display of the National Colors on Fifth Avenue when they marched away in August 1917, and again when the Division returned from France on March 25, 1919, have requested us to cooperate in making this reunion a success by displaying the National Colors on June 2nd and June 3rd, and we have assured them that they can count on your cooperation on this occasion also.

Very truly yours,
[[signature]] Thomas W Hughes [[/signature]]
Thomas W. Hughes
Secretary
