E.Hannon, French Counsel

15th of March 1921.

Mr. Jacques SELIGMANN.
705. 5th Avenue.
-NEW YORK CITY .-

Dear Sir,

As French Attorney of the Coudert Brothers' Office ,I am ,for a long time, acquainted with your firm in New York,as well as in Paris.

I therefore apply to you to obtain some information.

I should like to know the real value of a Clock of the XVIIIth Cebtury (Louis XVI period) of which the works are made by the famous clockmaker : Lepine ,whose the handwritten signature is engraved in the brass part of the Works.

The Clock is of white marble with golden bronze figures, attributed to "Eissen" .

Could you make an appraisal of this Clock for the purpose of selling it , and with what proviso .

Do you consider as possible to sell it in New York at the present time ? - Awaiting your reply, I am ,

Very truly yours.
