Andrew W. Mellon Esq.
Woodland Road
Pittsburg, Pa.

My dear Mr. Mellon,-

I am sending you enclosed letter of introduction from Mr. Elbert H. Gary.

You will certainly remember that I had the pleasure of your visit last year, but I thought that, having an introduction from Mr. Gary, it would probably be better for me than to come without an introduction.

I will leave New York next Wednesday evening for Pittsburg to stay there only one day, and would very much like to see your collection and pay you a visit. I hope that you will be kind enough, in the course of the day, to give me a chance to view it. As soon as I will arrive early Thursday morning, I will telephone to you to ask you at what time you can see me.

My son, the captain, will accompany me.

Believe me, dear Mr. Mellon,

Yours very sincerely,
