April 22, 1918.

Eugene Glaenzer, Esq.,
705 Fifth Avenue,
New York City.

My dear Mr. Glaenzer:

I have your note of the nineteenth.

I understood perfectly that you spoke to me at the request of Commodore Blair and that both of you were actuated by a friendly desire to give the Red Cross the benefit of information which would be useful to it and helpful to our gallant Allies, the French. I enclose herewith a copy of a letter received by this morning from the General Manager; and this will, I am sure, convince you that the matter is being handled thoughtfully and effectively.

Very truly yours,
