Messrs. P.W. French & Co.
6 East 56th street
New York

Dear Sirs,-

We beg to confirm the understanding reached this morning between your Mr. Samuels and our Mr. Germain Seligmann, in reference to import duty paid on the modern frames of 22 chairs which were sent to you from Paris, the agreement being that you would pay one half of the $343,35 due to Hirshbach & Smith, we to pay the other half.

We are sending to-day to Hirshbach & Smith
our check for $171.68, requesting them to send you their bill for the amount to be paid by you. We enclose copy of our letter to them.
The above is in fact in agreement with your letter to Mr. Jacques Seligmann of March 14th 1921, and his reply to of March 30th.

Very truly yours,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO. INC.
