Mr. L Earle Rowe,
Rhode Island School of Design,
11 Waterman street
Providence, R.I.

My dear Mr. Rowe,-

Since our return from Providence, my brother and I have often spoken of the charming and most cordial reception you gave us, and I am sorry not to have been able before to tell you how much we appreciated your great courtesy to us.

The development of your institution is certainly most striking, and the line of higher art in which you have recently entered shows an exceptional understanding and high taste. With the erection of the new building, your museum will certainly within a very short time set an example among the two or three first museums of this country.

With renewed thanks in which my brother joins, and with kind remembrances to your Assistant, pray believe me, dear Mr. Rowe,

Yours very sincerely,
