Sir Frederick Williams Taylor,
686 Mountain street
Montreal, Canada

Dear Sir Frederick,-
Of the very appealing houses that we had the pleasure of seeing in Montreal, your home indeed stands among the very first ones, and my brother André Seligmann and myself wish to thank you for the very charming reception you gave us, which we enjoyed immensely.
It is particularly agreeable to us, Frenchmen, to remember the role played by Lady Williams Taylor for the Great Cause during this war, and we are proud to hear of this much merited reward, the Médaille de la Reconnaissance Française, which has been awarded to her.
I cannot forget how much I was struck by the most tasteful arrangement of your hall downstairs with the antique cassone and the early periodcharacter it gives, and I hope that this will just be a start for further embellishments.
Shall we be fortunate enough and have the pleasure of meeting one day Lady Williams Taylor, of whom we have hard [[line breaks]] heard such high praise?-
We hope that if we don't see you in New York before we sail for Europe that we shall have the pleasure of your visit at the Palais Sagan, 57 rue Saint-Dominique, this Spring or Summer, which is an old mansion that you will certainly enjoy looking at.
With renewed thanks, pray believe me,
Sincerely yours,
(Germain Seligmann)
