[[Confidential]]

My dear Dr. Valentiner,-
It upsets me quite a bit to be without news from you, but I hope that it means that of course you have been quite busy upon your arrival in Detroit.

The aim of this letter is a very interested one. I would like to have your opinion about making an exhibition in Detroit in the near future. I would take over there a selection of very fine tapestries, for instance those which have just come back from exhibition of Dan Francisco, where they had a great success, and small pieces such as reliefs, bronzes, and perhaps little carvings and small pieces of furniture.
Do you think it is a good idea, and in case you think it is, do you advise me to take two rooms in the best hotel , or to make the exhibition at a dealer's gallery, or perhaps would it be agreeable to you if I held that exhibition in the Museum?-
I could not stay in Detroit a very long time and I would also like your advice as to how it would be possible to have this exhibition advertised. I was told that the best time for an exhibition would be the first part of December. What do you think?-
My final decision will be entirely based upon the answer that I receive from you, and I hope that you will be so kind as to give me frankly your very friendly advice.
