Mrs. S. Wells
Hotel Ritz-Carlton
New York

Dear Madam,-

In reference to your recent inquiry for an antique French bed, we just received advice that the one we have in Paris is a bed with canopy, made up of Point de Hongrie and of silk fabric, the back, top and sideswith applications of embroidery. It is of the Louis XIII period, the uprights being of a later period.

This will give you an approximate idea of this piece of furniture. Its width is 6 feet.

We are also advised that our Mr. Germain Seligmann, who will arrive on October 28th, will bring a photograph with him.

As regards a day-bed, one is coming over. It is Jacobean, 17th century, carved in walnut, caned in center.

We would be very pleased to find the right things for you, according to the descriptions you gave us. Mr. Seligmann, on his arrival, will no doubt have information at his disposal, which may be helpful.

Believe us, Madam,

Yours very truly,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO. INC.
