I see Freedom, completely arm'd and victorious and very
haughty, with Law on one side and Peace on the other;
A stupendous trio, all issuing forth against the idea of caste.

FREEDOM...LAW...JUSTICE

--"A stupendous trio issuing forth against the idea of caste" -- Yes, with this trio firmly established, our sacrifices and hopes have not been in vain. In these days of bitter strife and agony it is necessary that we pause and consider solemnly this trio. A serious contemplation will present a challenge to sue for these noble complements while we simultaneously pursue Peace. America's success in embracing the slogan may well become a test of her leadership in world organization. For in these is enfolded all of the philosophy of Democracy. America must make Democracy a living reality, not an empty slogan. She must erect a government based on Freedom.

Students now in training at Stowe put to test these principles - FREEDOM, LAW, PEACE. Through classroom organization and participation they learn the values of this trio. They discover that included in Freedom are the Freedom to THINK, to make mistakes, to enjoy fully the privileges and obligations of citizenship. They know that an enduring Freedom is founded in Law -- not the modern practice, but the ancient one determined by blind Justice.

On these principles depends whether a nation may endure supreme.
