The Freshman II class is composed of students who entered Stowe in January '44. It is an energetic student group composed of members who possess various talents.
Some of the most versatile students in the school are found in this group. Accomplishment in scholarship only is not enough, their initiative reaches into the many activities offered in our school. Excellence in music falls to Charles Davis and Samuel Schaeffer, in art to Marion Owens, in drama to Salenia Carr, and in plain industry to Bernard Brown. It is chiefly from this class that the participants of the M.A.A. talent program came. Several students in this class have earned an honorable rating, an excellent feat for freshmen.
