The Yearbook Staff

The Yearbook staff, a group of vigorous young men and women, was first organized in 1941. This group prepares for the school a summary of scholastic and athletic activities of the school term. The twenty members in this group are divided into several departments: the Editorial Department headed by Irene Dunlap, the Art and Photography Department co-headed by LaVietta White and Bernard Brown, and the Sports Department headed by Frank R. Alcorn.

The Stowe Sentinel

The Stowe Sentinel serves as an outlet for all students who are interested in journalism and who wish to enjoy those experiences which are typical of the life of the fourth estate. It gives to the Stowe community accurate accounts of events at the institution, carrying news on sports, clubs, and assembly activities. In addition to timely editorials, it carries interviews and literary features. The staff is composed of the editor-in-chief, circulation and advertising managers, and reporters.

The Library Club
Personnel of the Library Club is concerned with assistance in the work of the library, a vital unit of the institution. They help in routine duties, freeing the librarian for more technical work. They often devote their meetings to book reviews and discussions, leading to suggestions to the Library Committee for additions to the library collection. They poll student opinion to secure an index of needs and interests. In these and other ways they contribute to the conduct of the library, and incidentally to the success of the whole institution.

Beta Tau Omega Service Sorority
The ideals of Beta Tau Omega Service Sorority have been those of fine character, noble womanhood, and a willingness to serve. Its members have dedicated themselves to serve the college in all ways possible.

Annually this sorority has sponsored the Homecoming events, culminating at the crowning of a "Homecoming Queen". The activities of service of this group are innumerable, as the sorority stands on call to assist in any department of the school that needs ready helpers.
