Dr. F. D. Patterson, President
Tuskegee Institute
Tuskegee Institute, Alabama

Dear Dr. Patterson:

I appreciate your letter of March 17 and especially the kind things that you had to say about the progress which we have made working together here in this state.

It is with a great deal of regret that I learned that you have resigned as president of Tuskegee Institute. I assure you that you will be greatly missed by me in the work here in the state. I hope to see you and talk with you at length sometime before long in regard to some of our problems.

Sincerely yours,
