You became President of Tuskegee Institute at a comparative early age, but your functional grasp of both the practical and theoretical problems facing the school in respect to finance, organization, and administration in addition to various sectional and cultural issues; places you in the forefront of our battle to gain unrestrive opportunity based upon social equality and justice for all peoples.

It is true that you may resign from the Presidency of Tuskegee Institute, but in a higher and more lofty sense, we know that you will never leave Tuskegee in spirit. your accomplishment has reflected credit upon Dr. Booker T. Washington, our founder, and Dr. Robert R Moton, who gave their lives [[that?]] unselfishly that Tuskegee Institute may forever remain that lone star of hope and inspiration for future generations.

We pray to the Almighty God that peace, progress, success, and happiness will be with you and your family in your pursuit, and that your successor will continue to give us constructive leadership in the American concept of democracy.

Yours very truly,
