Dr. F. D. Patterson
President, Tuskegee Institute,
Tuskegee Institute,
Tuskegee Institute, Alabama

Dear Dr. Patterson:

I thank you very much for your letter on 9th March enclosing copy of letter which you have written to Mr. O'Connor dealing with your resignation as President of Tuskegee Institute. I am sure that every other Trustee feels as sorry about our decision to leave Tuskegee as I do. You have already given me the opportunity of expressing my sentiments to you in person. This letter, therefore, can only reemphasize my regret that you have come to the decision to leave Tuskegee and at the some time to express my very best wishes for your future as Educational Director of The Phelps-Stokes Fund.

With kindest personal regards and best wishes, I am

Sincerely yours,
