The number of entered specimens being comparatively small, more time has been given to museum work, mounting, etc. Collections which have been in temporary storage were looked over, and the specimens placed on exhibition or among the exchanges. The room in the N. E. tower contains a large amount of ethnological material, which was examined, cleaned, and arranged in better order. Some of the specimens were sent to the new museum building. During a part of the time Mr. Upham was occupied in collecting, at the suggestion of Mr. Goode, notes relating to the origin
