[[underlined]]J.C.Howell, U.S.Navy.---[[/underlined]]1 tomb-stone from the plains of Troy.

[[underlined]]Charles J.Turner, Brunswick, Chariton County, Missouri.--[[/underlined]] Collection from Chariton, Linn, Saline, Boone, and Howard Counties, Missouri:  1 arrow-head (?) with strongly jagged edges, stone sinkers (some of hematite), hematite celts and axes, 1 polished cutting tool, 1 sickle-shaped natural formation, prepared for cutting purposes, 1 grooved double-pointed head of a war-club, carved pipes, ceremonial objects, 1 shallow stone dish, 1 stone ring with incised lines, 1 rubbing stone, 1 large grooved adze-head, 1 large stone slab with foot-shaped depression, and cup-formed cavities placed around it, natural formations (clay iron ore), prepared to serve as receptacles, and 1 copper axe.  This is one of the best collections ever acquired by the National Museum.

[[underlined]]J.E.Adcox, Benton, Saline County, Arkansas.---[[/underlined]]Collection from Saline County:  Rude implements, cutting tools, scrapers, perforators, arrow and spear-heads, 1 hammer ^[[whited out space]]-stone, celts, notched and grooved axes, and 1 muller.

[[underlined]]C.L.McKay (deceased).---[[/underlined]] Collection from Alaska:  6 cutting tools (slate), 4 spear heads, 4 chipped celts, 1 chisel (?), 2 stone adzes (one very fine), 1 piece of worked argillite, 2 oval pebbles, one with polished cavity, 1 unfinished bone socket for harpoon-head, and 2 clay vessels.

[[underlined]]J.F.Kummerfeld, Long Grove, Scott County, Iowa.---[[/underlined]] 1 grooved axe (very fine), from Pottawattamie County, Iowa.

[[underlined]]C.T.Wiltheiss, Piqua, Miami County, Ohio.---[[/underlined]] 1 cast of an animal-shaped pipe.  The original was found 3 miles from Piqua, near the Miami River, having been washed out by highwater.  Material pale-gray limestone.
