[[underlined]]Specification of Additions[[/underlined]]

[[underlined]]Eugene A. Smith, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.[[/underlined]]-Casts of animal-shaped pipe and of engraved stone plate, from Hale County, and of scraper-like implement from Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.  The originals, belonging to the University of Alabama, were loaned, with other specimens, through the agency of Mr. Smith, and the casts made in the U.S. Museum.  Collection returned to registrar May 3, 1883.

[[underlined]]Frank Burns, Blountsville, Blount County, Alabama.[[/underlined]]- Collection from Blount and Winstone Counties: arrow and spear-heads, celts, grooved axes, hammer-stones, discoidal stone, paint-mortar, paint-stones, hematite sinker, fragments of potstone vessels and of pottery, silver ornament (probably Spanish), and human and animal bones, 59 specs. for exhibition, 5 for exchange, 14 for storage.

[[underlined]]William Taylor, Findlay, Hancock county, Ohio. [[/underlined]] Casts of 2 ceremonial objects, 1 bird shaped object, and 1 pipe. The originals were loaned, with other specimens, and the casts made in the National Museum.  Specimens returned to registrar May 15, 1883.
