They were brought in August, 1877, but put away in the small room northeast of the hall, where they were re-discovered among a variety of other objects.

[[underlined]]William Jengelly, Torquay, England.-[[/underlined]]Collection of bones, teeth, etc., from Kent's Cavern, near Torquay: 23 finds from the cave-earth or hyenine deposit, and 7 from the breccia or ursine deposit, the oldest in the cavern; in all 1270 specimens.

[[underlined]]L. Belding, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California.-[[/underlined]] Collection from neighborhood of La Paz, Lower California: arrow and spear-heads (some very good) and 1 human skull and 10 bones (Pericues); 44 specimens.

[[underlined]]George Stolley, Austin, Texas.--[[/underlined]] Collection from vicinity of Austin: flakes, arrow and spear-heads, [[^and]]leaf-shaped implements, 16 specimens for exhibition, 5 for exchange, 3 for storage.

[[underlined]]C. H Lloyd, Washington, D.C.-[[/underlined]] 1 very fine arrow-head, from Charles County, Maryland.

[[underlined]]G. L. Faucher, West Winsted, Litchfield County, Connecticut.[[/underlined]] 1 rude stone implement, 1 maul (?), and 1 spear-head, from an island in the Susquehanna River, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

[[underlined]]R. E. C. Stearns, Berkley, Alameda County, California.[[/underlined]] 1 mortar from Alameda County, 3 pestles and 1 pebble from Placer County
