mens on exhibition in the hall.  This work has taken up all my time not devoted to routine business, and hence I have had no leisure for composing smaller essays.  I wrote in the fall of 1883 a "Circular relative to Contributions of Aboriginal Antiquities to the United States National Museum".  This circular appeared in Vol. VI (1883) of the Proceedings of the United States National Museum.  The volume appeared in 1884.  I also composed in French a small article entitled "Les Statuettes contrefaites due Mont Pisgah", which was published in Dr. Hamy's Revue d'Ethnographic, Vol.III, No 1, Paris, 1884, p. 89.
