Mr. Hendly is engaged in making casts of typical stone objects for the New Orleans Exhibition.

My literary work, as stated in the preceding report, was interrupted for more than two months, on account of a severe inflammation of my eyes. This month I have gradually resumed that occupation, and have read the whole plate proof (in book form) of my work on prehistoric. The proof, with my final corrections is now in the hands of the printer.

Transcription Notes:
The printed work is on prehistoric fishing, and apparently this last word was left out of the manuscript.
