Tin cans were introduced to America by Peter Durand of England. I don't understand modern technology. How come our society has a 5¢ beer can which, when trhorwn along the side of the road and exposed to all the elements of nature, will last forever...and a $6,000 automobile which taken good care of, will rust out in two years?????
