December 29th, 1938 Dear Mr. Seligmann, René your cousin wrote me from New York some weeks ago that you are going to be in London in January next, to see about some paintings. English Portraits and fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. I shall be very happy to take you to see some paintings. Will you please telephone me to above; I'll be very pleased to see you. I must tell you why you have not heard from me before this. I was very busy getting my wedding ready as the time was short, I was married at Temple Church London last December 30th. I know it will be a surprise to many of my friends, but my husband is leaving for Africa next month, he is in the civil service; as I will be here most of the next year.
