The looking glass over doors in paint and gilt plaster, but no mantelpiece.-

Comes from the collection of Prince d'Essling 
French work second half of the [[underlined]] 18th [[/underlined]] century.-
This painted boiserie is most exceptional a specimen of the time and [[strikethrough]]attributed to Prieur [[/strikethrough]], and which according to the documents we possess has most probably been painted by Prieur, the artist who painted a very similar boudoir for Marie Antoinette at the Chateau de Fontainebleau

All these objects we guarantee genuine and of the time.-

The prices indicated are these objects sold in Paris, packing, insurance, freight, expenses,as well as export duty, as well as import duty into America, (if such law was to be voted by America) at the expenses of the Museum, but of course we would take charge of the packing, sending, etc., and these goods would be delivered in Detroit by our care/.-

The export duty from France on works of art is to be paid on the following scale, ad valorem:
15% up to 5.000 francs
20% from 5.000 to 20.000 francs
25% above 20.000 francs.-

As you explained to us that no decision could be taken by the Museum before October, we are perfectly willing to reserve all of these above mentionned objects up to October 30,1921 with the exception of: No 6503 Large Renaissance Mantelpiece, and No 8536 Marie Antoinette Boiserie.-
